Military Acronyms Applicable to Preparedness

It is always a good idea to grab, steal and use tricks and MOPs (Method of Operation) form various professions and practices when they fit your cause.

So for a while we have been selecting Military Acronyms that can be put to use in preparedness, especially towards organizing and coordinating community actions.
This is what we came up with.

SMEAC
Situation
Mission
Execution
Administration & Logistics
Command & Signal
This seems to be geared towards the proper setup of a mission. It covers the Why, What, How, Whom and When of our 7 Keyword Method of Planning.

PACE
Primary
Alternate
Contingency
Emergency
PACE relates to planning for contingencies when an unexpected (or likely) situation happens.
In example what would be your plans when a 2-vehicle convoy looses mobility?
Primary would be to try fix the vehicle, alternate would be to abandon the vehicle.
Contingency measures would be called for when both vehicles are down and emergency could be when the convoy is compromised.

SALUTE
Size
Activity
Location
Uniform
Time
Equipment
This is the SALUTE report for reconnaissance missions.

GOTWA
Going
Others
Time
What
Action
This is another type of action report. It covers the direction, personnel, timeframe, objective and method used.

Many thanks to Trekker, BigAl and the rest, over the TSP for their contributions!
